Hard Surface Group Mentorship

A six-week group mentorship focused on the hard surface 3D modeling pipeline for beginners. The course covers the complete workflow from gathering reference and dimensionally accurate blockouts to subdivision high poly modeling, low poly creation, UV mapping, baking, and texturing. Students will work toward producing a portfolio-ready prop, such as a weapon, tool, or small device.

The mentorship includes weekly live one-hour classes via Discord, video-recorded feedback and critiques, and weekly homework assignments requiring an estimated 5 to 10 hours. While the concepts taught are software-agnostic, the instructor's primary workflow utilizes Maya, Substance Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag. Students may use Blender for modeling and UV mapping, though specific UI or tool guidance will be limited.
