Game Asset Optimizer is an addon designed to prepare Blender models for real-time applications like Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot. It provides operators for automatically generating UCX and UBX collision meshes directly within the viewport.
The toolset includes utility functions for organizing objects into spatial grids and cleaning up mesh data by merging vertices, converting polygons to quads, and resetting normals. A real-time decimation feature allows users to preview geometric reduction using Collapse, Planar, or Un-subdivide modes, with support for batch processing across multiple objects.
Additionally, the addon features an automated Level of Detail (LOD) generator that creates either three or five optimization tiers, arranging them horizontally for visual comparison. The pipeline incorporates batch export capabilities, supporting FBX, OBJ, glTF, GLB, PLY, and STL formats with configurable destination paths.
