EC Wood Grain

This geometry node setup displaces mesh geometry to simulate carved volumetric wood grain. It functions as a non-destructive modifier, exposing parameters directly in the modifier properties panel. Users can adjust ring spacing, wobble, displacement depth, and clamp limits without opening the node editor.

The tool includes masking features, such as a Z-height cutoff for maintaining flat bases and object-based masking for selective texturing with soft edges. The displacement direction can be oriented along the X, Y, or Z axes, or set to a spherical projection. The resulting geometry can be applied and exported for 3D printing.
