RockForm Designer is a procedural tool for generating rock formations, arches, pillars, and cliff faces in Blender. It utilizes Geometry Nodes to displace geometry at the mesh level, allowing users to define shapes using base meshes or curves before applying a chosen collection to establish the rock's structural character. The add-on includes versatile displacement options with procedural and image presets, custom tri-planar projection, and a master material with coverage based on physical properties like ambient occlusion and object axis.
The workflow provides controls for density, rotation, scale, spread, and randomization to achieve realistic or stylized results. Because the modifications are made at the mesh level, users can generate a low-poly version directly from the interface to begin the retopology and baking process for game assets. Please note that manual UV unwrapping and baking setups are required, and achieving very high mesh density for realistic results may impact viewport performance.
