This 11-hour video course demonstrates the complete workflow for producing a stylized character using Blender and Marvelous Designer. The curriculum begins with interface basics before moving into character blockout and sculpting, which is designed to be completed using a standard mouse and keyboard. Subsequent modules cover manual retopology, applying the multiresolution modifier, and rigging the character using the included Rigify add-on.
The second half of the course focuses on surfacing and presentation. It covers procedural skin shader setup, particle hair creation for eyebrows and eyelashes, and exporting the posed character as an Alembic file. In Marvelous Designer, users simulate garments over the character before bringing the geometry back into Blender for final PBR texturing. The project concludes with lighting and rendering using the Cycles engine. Audio commentary is provided in both English and Italian.
