PBR Mixer provides a layer-based workflow for combining multiple PBR texture sets within Blender. It blends layers using height maps alongside various masking methods, including texture painting, procedural noise, geometry position, and surface normals. The add-on includes a manager panel for adjusting height masking, bump intensity, normal intensity, and material displacement.
Layers can be created by selecting textures in the browser, bundling existing Image Texture nodes in the Shader Editor, or copying from another material in the current file. Masking options include procedural noise and bricks, orientation-based limits (top, bottom, front, etc.), and face normal direction for effects like settling dust or snow. When a composite material is finished, the built-in baking system allows for single-click baking and packing of the new PBR texture set.
