PSD-Layers brings a layer-based texture painting workflow to Blender without requiring manual shader node management. It automatically builds the underlying node trees, allowing users to paint using familiar concepts like blending modes, opacity controls, and layer visibility. The tool supports full PBR metalness workflows, enabling seamless painting across multiple material channels.

Additional features include channel soloing for unshaded viewing, texture baking, masking, and direct image importing. The interface includes a palette manager capable of parsing and pasting hex color codes copied from external text formats, alongside quick toggles for switching between Emissive and Principled BSDF setups.
