Cycles Baker is an extension for baking textures from high-poly source objects to low-poly meshes. Located in the 3D viewport's sidebar, the tool allows users to manually define object pairings and select from various rendering passes. Supported bake passes include Material (Diffuse), Normal, Opacity, Ambient Occlusion, Curvature, Position, and Depth.
The tool is capable of projecting from diverse high-poly source types, including standard meshes, hair systems, collection instances, text, and metaballs. Additional features include support for custom cage objects, adjustable front ray distance previews, and an anti-aliasing option that bakes at a higher resolution before downscaling the final image. Users can also perform partial re-bakes to update specific object pairs without processing the entire list, and instantly generate a preview material with the newly baked textures applied.
