The VAT Man is a tool for baking Vertex Animation Textures (VAT) directly within Blender. It converts animations, physics simulations, particles, and dynamic paint into vertex displacement textures that can be played back in Cycles using only material nodes. The add-on automates the generation process by creating a new combined object and applying material copies configured with a dedicated VAT node.

Beyond basic baking, the tool includes features for morphing animations onto existing meshes with identical topology, merging VAT objects, combining UV maps, and creating texture atlases. The baked assets are optimized for export to game engines like Unity and Godot, and the package includes scripts for managing animation playback, looping, and pausing within those environments.
