Rhino Blender Exchange (RBE) is a bridge tool designed to transfer mesh and curve data between Rhino 8 and Blender. The connection is established by linking a saved Rhino .3dm file within Blender's sidebar panel, allowing the two applications to synchronize 3D data through a dedicated intermediary folder.
The tool supports both exporting and importing between the two programs without manual file management. It transfers basic PNG texture maps alongside the geometry and allows users to update specific objects or entire scenes. Additional features include an option to preserve local object transforms when updating, transferring curves between both software environments, and a dedicated Quadremesh tool in Rhino to convert open polysurfaces into quad meshes prior to export.
