Quick Roughness Layers is an add-on that enables the application of multiple roughness maps as stackable layers on materials to simulate surface wear. Users can control each layer independently through the N-panel interface, adjusting properties like brightness and contrast without manually configuring the shader nodes.
The tool includes Z-Masking capabilities to restrict roughness layers to the top or bottom of an object, with adjustable reach parameters. It also features a built-in UnTile node system designed to randomize texture placement and prevent visible repeating patterns across surfaces. A customizable directory setup allows users to preview and load their own library of surface imperfection maps directly within the UI.
