Melter is a procedural geometry nodes setup that allows users to simulate the melting of 3D objects in Blender. Powered by simulation nodes, the system includes self-collision capabilities with multiple modes, including self normal, velocity, proximity, curvature, external mesh, and ground collision.
Users can define room and melting temperatures alongside specific rates for melting, cooling, and heat spreading. These rates can be controlled using noise or custom masks. The setup also features normal-based forces to shrink or inflate objects during the melting process, which can replicate behaviors like baking. The tool integrates with Blender's native simulation node baking system to generate and store physics caches.
