Knit is a fully procedural fabric material designed for realistic textile rendering in Blender. Built entirely with shader nodes, it generates detailed knitted patterns without relying on image textures, providing infinite resolution for extreme close-ups and macro shots. The material accurately reproduces knit structures and includes support for jacquard stitching, allowing for the color alteration of individual stitches.
The shader provides a variety of customizable parameters exposed through a clean node group interface. Users can adjust the overall pattern scale, fabric flexibility, surface hairiness, stitch width, and the spacing between columns and rows. It is compatible with both EEVEE and Cycles render engines, making it suitable for fashion visualization, sportswear materials, and general textile look development.
