FluidLab is an add-on for generating fluid, viscous, and particle simulations within Blender. It relies on Blender's native SPH (Smoothed-particle hydrodynamics) system coupled with Geometry Nodes to simulate and generate meshes. Unlike traditional fluid systems, it does not require a domain object, allowing for real-time viewport calculations without relying on an invisible baking process.
The tool is designed for small to medium-scale fluid effects, including water, blood, honey, slimes, sand, and mud. Users can combine multiple emitters with different densities and viscosities. It includes a dedicated forces module for guiding simulations, built-in shaders for common liquid types, and a preset system. The add-on supports Alembic exporting for external usage and directly integrates with RBDLab to enable dynamic interaction between rigid body fractures and simulated fluids.
