Turbulent is a real-time water creation system for Blender that uses a combination of shader nodes and an included add-on to generate fluid surfaces without simulations or geometry nodes. It creates complex, faceted water effects that react dynamically where the fluid intersects with ground geometry. The shaders incorporate depth-based color and opacity calculations, along with dynamic ripples and corresponding wetness effects on ground materials.

The package provides the Turbulent Manager add-on to streamline the creation process from the Properties panel. This interface allows users to set up the water system, utilize built-in flow map painting to direct currents, and bake the necessary texture maps directly within the viewport.
