Fluid Baker is an add-on that optimizes particle fluid workflows by baking metaball or isosurface meshes into an Alembic file. By storing the generated mesh sequence, it bypasses the need to recalculate fluid data on every frame change, resulting in much faster viewport playback and smoother previz.
Once the fluid surface is converted to a standard mesh via the Alembic cache, users can apply standard modifiers to the result. This allows for workflows like adding Smooth modifiers to refine the fluid appearance or using Boolean modifiers to trim unwanted sections of the simulation. The add-on includes a dedicated panel in the 3D viewport to manage the export and import process, as well as toggles to quickly hide or reveal the original particle systems and non-baked source objects.
