EZBake is an add-on that automates the process of baking complex Principled BSDF materials into optimized PBR texture maps. Located in the Render Properties panel, it is designed to prepare assets for game engines and real-time rendering by handling node setups, UV checks, and multi-material workflows.
The tool supports baking over 30 channels, including base color, metallic, roughness, normal, ambient occlusion, emission, transmission, and clear coat. It includes pre-configured channel packing presets for Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, and CryEngine. Users can merge multiple materials into a single texture set, generate shadow catcher planes, bake procedural bevels into normal maps without modifying geometry, and automatically unwrap UVs for lightmaps. Baking can be performed on either the original mesh or a duplicate.
