Sound Waveform Display

This add-on allows you to visualize audio waveforms directly within Blender's animation editor, eliminating the need to open a separate sequencer space to sync actions with sound. It generates a visual representation of the audio to provide immediate timing hints during animation workflows.

The tool includes controls to toggle the display, adjust the height offset of the waveform peaks, and filter which sounds are shown. You can choose to source audio from the sequencer, speakers, or all sources. When using the sequencer, further filters allow you to isolate selected strips, audible strips, specific strips from a list, or limit the display to the scene range. Preferences allow for customization of the waveform color and the resolution of the generated image. Note that this add-on requires FFmpeg to function.
