Soft Bevel is an experimental modeling tool that bevels selected mesh faces while preventing geometry from overlapping, addressing a common issue with Blender's default bevel operation. It is particularly useful for adding bevels to boolean cut details or creating organic, rounded forms from hard-surface meshes. The tool is accessed via the right-click context menu in Edit Mode and includes a properties panel to adjust bevel size and toggle auto-merging for nearby vertices. It currently operates exclusively on selected faces and does not support edge selections.
