RigFlow is an add-on that introduces a sketch-based workflow for creating armatures in Blender. It features two primary workflows: a draw mode for generating entire bone chains using free-form paths, and an extrude mode for point-by-point creation. The tool provides live visual feedback with adjustable volumetric envelopes that update during the sketching process.
Once paths are drawn, users can manipulate intermediate joints in real-time. Paths can be snapped to existing bone chains or mesh vertices to build complex, branching structures. Additional features include symmetry mirroring across the X, Y, or Z axes, customizable bone segment resolution for chains, and an auto-connect system to construct clean hierarchies. Upon completion, the add-on generates the final armature and can automatically parent the active mesh to the rig using Blender's automatic weights.
