Overhang Faces

A geometry nodes modifier designed to continuously identify and visualize mesh overhangs non-destructively during the modeling process. It assists in preparing models for 3D printing by highlighting areas that may require physical supports. The tool operates correctly even when object rotation has not been applied.

The node setup provides detailed controls for targeting problem areas. Users can set a specific angle threshold for overhang detection and assign a custom material to highlight those areas. An isolation mode hides unaffected geometry, while a blur isolation function allows users to view neighboring faces around the overhang, providing better topological context when making mesh adjustments.
