Material Picker is a workflow add-on that allows users to select and edit materials directly from the 3D viewport. By hovering over an object, the tool identifies the active material and makes it accessible for immediate editing. It also includes a dedicated material browser and search function that integrates into the Shader Editor. The add-on supports complex scene setups, including geometry generated via Geometry Nodes, instanced objects, and linked libraries. When selecting a linked material, it can automatically open the corresponding source file for editing.
