In Placer is a Blender add-on that simplifies the process of converting moving animations into in-place animations, a requirement for traditional game engine character controllers. Instead of manually editing curves in the Graph Editor, the tool allows users to remove forward, lateral, and upward translation from a character's root bone with automated operators.

The tool includes buttons to remove all movement at once, as well as separate operators to strip movement along a single direction. It currently supports standard Mixamo rigs and Unreal Engine rig structures. To reduce interface clutter, users can hide the add-on from the side panel or rename its tab in the preferences, while retaining full access to its features within the armature data properties.
