Foot-Work provides a suite of tools for animating character locomotion scenes in Blender. Instead of generating walk cycles, it is designed to work with your existing animations to move characters through an environment without foot sliding. The toolset requires an IK bone setup with Root, Torso, and IK Feet controllers.
The tool includes seven specific modules for animation tasks. It can handle root motion conversion, allowing animators to switch between in-place and root motion cycles. It allows characters to follow curve paths while maintaining accurate foot plant placement, snapping characters to ground objects, and adding floor pivot points for turning. A built-in A* pathfinding system can generate avoidance curves around scene obstacles.
