Fake Light Rays

Fake Light Rays provides a procedural method for generating volumetric light beams and god rays in Blender. Built on Geometry Nodes, the setup allows users to control the density and shape of the light rays directly from the emitter object's modifier settings. The color of the light rays is managed through the associated material or light properties.

The system supports rendering in both EEVEE and Cycles. When rendering with Cycles, users must increase the transparency bounces in the render properties to prevent dense, overlapping rays from appearing pitch black. The free version requires manually appending the light collections into scenes, while the paid tier includes a companion add-on that adds a dedicated interface panel for quick insertion.
