Blob Fusion is a modeling extension for Blender that allows users to create organic and hard-surface base meshes using SDFs (Signed Distance Fields). By combining primitives like spheres, capsules, cubes, and toruses, users can rapidly build complex forms without needing to manually manage topology. The tool functions similarly to ZSpheres but utilizes real-time meshing directly in the 3D viewport.
The tool features an auto-generated hierarchy system that operates similarly to a rig when adding new blobs. It includes controls for smooth blending between primitives and allows toggling between subtract and union modes. Additional features include one-click armature generation, colorization of blobs, and a library of human and animal presets. Users can interact with the system via extruding, subdividing, and duplicating blob segments.
