Rig-Rac Hair

Rig-Rac Hair generates posing structures and armatures for character grooms built with Blender's newer hair curves system. Because the native curve system does not support direct rigging, this tool streamlines the creation of proxy meshes from guide strands. These proxies receive the rigged deformation and transfer it back to the original hair network.

Users run a specialized node group to establish necessary vertex groups corresponding to hair roots, pivot points, and bone spawn locations. After converting the setup to a mesh, the tool reads directional attributes and isolation groups to generate appropriate FK controllers, master pivots, and tweakers for hand-animating the geometry.
