Random Flow is an add-on and mesh generator designed for rapid hard surface prototyping and concept art. It leverages randomized operators to create complex greeble details, structural elements, and sci-fi panels directly on existing geometry. The toolset uses a layering approach, allowing users to stack details to quickly build intricate designs. The add-on also integrates Geometry Nodes, providing modifier-based control over panel generation with dedicated commands for managing node properties.
The toolset includes a variety of specialized generators, such as randomized loop extrusions, axis-based branching extrusions, and face slicing. Users can generate additional elements like catenary cables, tubes, flanges, scatter collections, and panel screws. Utility operators are provided to support the workflow, including destructive mesh displacement, tools for converting angular n-gons to quads, grid edge cut projections, and automated UV straightening for the generated panels.
