This Geometry Nodes system generates procedural paillettes, or sequins, across the surface of existing meshes. It is designed for detailing clothing, pillows, bags, and other fabric objects. The tool distributes the instances based on the source geometry's UV mapping, allowing users to customize the density, size, and spacing of the paillettes.
The setup includes controls for structural variations, such as creating a central hole in each sequin or applying checkerboard shifting and alternating rotations to rows and columns. Placing paillettes can be limited to specific areas using vertex groups, and users can specify independent materials for the front and back sides. Additional parameters allow for offsetting instances from the base mesh and introducing randomized rotation for natural variation.
