This add-on provides a streamlined workflow for overriding materials on linked objects in a Blender scene. It operates by duplicating the materials applied to a linked asset, allowing for local edits and material replacement without modifying the original source file.
A reset function is included to revert all materials and object data back to their original linked state at any time. When materials are overridden, node groups contained within them remain linked. This specific behavior ensures that exposed parameters and Group Inputs can still be edited directly within the active scene, making it highly suitable for production environments requiring non-destructive material adjustments.
