HMTools connects Blender to the hdrmaps.com API, providing direct access to a growing library of high-dynamic-range imaging maps. Users can download environment maps at resolutions of 1K, 2K, 4K, or 10K, with 1K downloads set as the default to optimize speed and storage. The addon includes a dedicated panel for adjusting the downloaded environment textures directly. Available controls include rotation, blur, contrast, and exposure adjustments, as well as a flattened ground projection option. All modifications can be saved directly to the environment asset for future reuse in other scenes.
