FlaxTrax is an automated tracking and solving add-on for Blender that streamines the motion tracking process into a single click. It handles the placement of trackers on image details, tracks them, and resolves the footage motion while automatically cleaning up poorly performing tracks.
The tool applies filters and iteratively works to reach a defined target solve error. It includes features for estimating the correct focal length, dynamically adjusting pattern and search sizes, and maintaining a sufficient number of trackers throughout the sequence. The add-on supports both image sequences and direct video input, includes options for handling vertical aspect ratio footage, and offers modes for tripod tracking. Additional features include mask animation support and a feature-based marking algorithm designed to find optimal marker locations.
