Brushed Shading is a collection of tools and shaders for generating stylized painterly looks in both EEVEE and Cycles. The system calculates transitions from light to dark by bending object normals through a brush stroke map, emulating the look of traditional media. It includes a material asset library with examples for watercolor, oil paint, pastel, palette knife, and pencil sketch styles.

The package provides several custom shader nodes, including a Principled Toon shader, a Brushed Normals node, and a Triplanar Pref mapping node. To support animation pipelines, the suite also includes add-ons that handle shader binding transfers for Alembic caches and create Texture Reference Poses, which prevent triplanar projection maps from swimming across moving character meshes.
