Blend1 is an add-on that manages Blender's automatic backup files to prevent them from cluttering your project directories and cloud storage. By altering how Blender handles saved versions, it stops redundant .blend1 and .blend2 files from continuously syncing to cloud drives and consuming bandwidth.

Users can configure their desired number of backup versions and continue working normally. When a previous version is needed, backups can be restored directly through a dedicated panel in the N-menu using the recall operator. The tool also includes a built-in auto-updater for maintaining the latest stable or experimental releases.
