It facilitates exporting animated character rigs to game engines or editing animations from imported game engine characters. The add-on creates a unified container of bone names stored as a JSON file, establishing mappings between different skeletons to link their data.
The toolset includes features for renaming bones automatically based on template lists, fitting meta-rigs by aligning bones according to mappings, and cleaning imported animations by clearing erratic transform keyframes. Users can also constrain one skeleton to another using the template mapping and safely scale skeletons by parenting them to an empty object. Mappings can be generated manually or through a guessing function that attempts to match naming conventions.
