This Geometry Nodes setup converts 3D mesh collections into 2D orthogonal projections. Users can project their source meshes onto an X/Y plane, generating right, front, and top views that can be displayed individually or simultaneously with adjustable spacing between the projection views.
The system includes tools for stylizing the projected output, allowing users to mimic CAD software layers. Generated lines can be converted into physical profile meshes with customizable colors and thickness. Users can manage multiple visual styles through collections, assigning specific style indices to their 3D models to control the final 2D appearance. The tool also provides override options to globally adjust line thickness and color across the projection.
Additional features include a background generator that places a solid color behind the projections with an adjustable margin, intended to optimize the output for rendering and printing. A portal feature is also provided, enabling users to create cut sections through the source meshes from the right, front, or top views.
