15 Physically-Based Metals

This collection provides 15 metal shaders for Blender that utilize custom R/G/B Fresnel curves instead of the standard Principled BSDF approximation. The node groups are built using scientific refractive index measurements corresponding to red (630nm), green (532nm), and blue (467nm) light wavelengths to achieve physically accurate reflectance.

The shaders include built-in parameters for generating realistic weathering effects such as rust, tarnish, corrosion, and oxidation. Additionally, the package includes five image-based surface imperfection textures designed to add smudged fingerprints, scratches, scuffs, dust, and dried hard water stains to the metal surfaces.
