World Align is an add-on for Blender that simplifies the process of orienting objects parallel to the world axes. It is particularly useful for models with reset transforms, cylinders with odd segment counts, or 3D scans with unknown rotation angles.
The tool operates by having the user select faces on two sides of a mesh. Based on this selection, the object is automatically aligned to the world axes, with an option to bake the new rotation angles into the object's transforms. The add-on supports aligning objects even when the selected sides are not perfectly perpendicular, and allows for multiple face selections per side, which is beneficial when working with noisy surfaces common in 3D scans.
