Slide Edge is a modeling tool that allows users to duplicate and slide selected edges within the 3D viewport. It is designed to assist with retopology and general topology manipulation. The tool supports sliding edges in both inner and outer directions, and automatically adjusts nearby edges connected to poles. Users can select boundary edges or edges from multiple separate locations to slide simultaneously. The operation is controlled via horizontal mouse movement, featuring infinite screen sliding and a slow-slide modifier using the Shift key. Slide Edge is accessed through the right-click context menu in Edit Mode and includes options to keep original and resulting edges selected after the operation.
