Skin Selection is an addon that allows you to select armature bone controllers by clicking directly on the character mesh. This workflow enables you to hide all rig controllers, keeping the viewport clear of visual clutter while animating.
The system works by mapping up to three bone controllers to specific vertex groups on the mesh. Once configured, you can click the designated mesh areas to select the primary controller, or use modifier keys for the secondary and tertiary controllers. The addon includes visual feedback through custom face highlighting, auto-backface culling, and options to mirror vertex groups across symmetrical models. It requires standard left/right bone naming conventions to function correctly with mirror modifiers.
