RBF Drivers

RBF Drivers introduces radial basis function networks to Blender for rigging and animation workflows. Rather than manually defining complex mathematical relationships or configuring multiple constraints, users can set up drivers by creating example poses. The tool allows you to pose a character, adjust controllers, and configure shape keys to record a snapshot. It then automatically interpolates between these saved states as the rig moves.

The tool operates by generating native Blender setups, meaning it requires no runtime Python execution. This allows rigs created with the addon to function independently, enabling you to share or sell the resulting files without requiring the end-user to install the tool. It is particularly useful for interpolating corrective shape keys on complex joints like shoulders, or managing non-uniform anatomical transforms.
