PolyGen

PolyGen is an add-on that introduces a simulation-based workflow for retopologizing and remeshing geometry. Instead of manually plotting faces, it uses a point-based system where agents dynamically scatter and connect across a target surface to generate new mesh structures containing quads and triangles.

The tool operates through two primary input methods: Points mode, which places dynamic agents onto the mesh with raycast accuracy, and Guides mode, which allows for drawing static paths to direct the topology flow. The generated mesh points can be controlled through simulation parameters including quad size, maximum speed, clamping, and adjustable repulsion and attraction forces.

A live auto-generate feature provides continuous mesh updates while agents settle into position. The final output includes optional subdivision operations and automatically applies a shrinkwrap modifier to ensure the generated topology adheres closely to the original surface.
