This tool facilitates the transfer of point attributes from Houdini to Blender Geometry Nodes. It supports the export of integer, float, vector, color, and quaternion data types. The tool functions with both regular geometry and point clouds, although volume data is not supported. Note that a Houdini Indie or FX license is required, as the Apprentice license is not compatible.
The system utilizes an approach similar to vertex animation textures, storing attribute data within EXR image files. The package includes an HDA for Houdini and an add-on for Blender to handle the coordinate system conversion and data mapping.
