HairMesher is a Windows-exclusive add-on that converts standard Blender particle hair systems into permanent, parametric mesh geometry. Utilizing a C++ implementation, the tool is designed to process high strand counts efficiently, supporting the conversion of children-interpolated hair particles into geometry with proper UV coordinates.
The generated mesh strips are automatically oriented to lay parallel to the underlying scalp geometry. The add-on maintains parametric control, allowing users to tweak settings or update the mesh manually after brushing the source particles. Additionally, users can utilize weight maps to drive specific attributes like hair density, length, width, and segment count. The tool also includes segment length offsetting to optimize geometry by using fewer polygons while preserving the overall hair shape.
