Grow Grass

This geometry node setup uses simulation nodes to animate the growth of grass across surfaces in Blender. The tool allows grass to naturally grow around scene obstacles and includes controls for growth speed, random length variation, and blade thickness.

Users can dictate the growth direction, choosing between an upward constraint or following the surface normals. Randomized deformation controls simulate wind or create a messy, natural look. The system supports painting specific emission areas, restricting growth to upward-facing faces, and combining multiple modifiers for layered vegetation. A customizable material is included with per-blade color variation.
