Environment Painting And Animation

This tutorial covers the process of creating stylized animated environments by combining digital painting in Photoshop with 3D animation in Blender. The course is structured into two main phases. The first phase focuses on the 2D illustration process, covering reference gathering, sketching, value structure, background detailing, painting trees, custom brush creation, and layer styles.

The second phase transitions into Blender to animate the painted artwork. Topics include setting up the 2D illustration in a 3D scene, creating an illusion of depth, animating a camera, and making the animation seamlessly loop. The instruction also covers stylized foliage animation, using the particle system with force fields to generate snow and grass, and setting up simple compositing within Blender.

The product includes over six hours of real-time video demonstrations, speed-up overviews, supplementary videos on particle systems, and two instructional eBooks. Project files, including Photoshop brushes, a PSD document, and Blender source files, are provided alongside the lesson material.
