Draw Xray provides a customizable overlay for visualizing retopology meshes against high-poly models. It highlights surface interactions, making it easier to see where a low-poly mesh intersects, protrudes from, or lies beneath the target geometry. The overlay color and opacity can be adjusted, and it supports drawing in Edit, Sculpt, Paint, and Object modes, with the option to display the mesh accurately with or without active modifiers applied.

The paid version includes a dedicated snapping engine and specialized drawing tools. The snapping engine accounts for mesh curvature by settling geometry correctly over peaks and valleys, and can counteract the shrinking effect caused by the Subdivision Surface modifier. It includes several stroke tools: Quad Stroke for drawing and extruding single edge strips, Strip Wrap for joints, and Strip Stroke for extruding multiple edges simultaneously.
