Real Carbon Fiber

This is a 4K texture set derived from a scan of a 12-centimeter 3K 2x2 twill weave prepreg carbon fiber veneer. It provides the image maps necessary to create highly detailed carbon fiber materials suited for close-up rendering, offering a structural complexity that is difficult to achieve with procedurally generated patterns.

The included maps can replicate a variety of surface finishes, ranging from exposed raw fibers to compression-molded, clear-coated panels. By modifying your shader setup, the textures can also be adapted to simulate Kevlar, aluminum, or glass weaves, which often share similar woven structures. A Blender scene file containing the specific material node setup used in the promotional images is included to help you get started. The textures are designed to tile seamlessly, though repetition may become noticeable when applied to very large flat surfaces. Bear in mind that this material requires a render engine capable of computing anisotropic reflections.
