Boon Shader Lite is an add-on that provides a one-click anime-style toon shader for Blender's EEVEE render engine. It creates stylized looks including clean anime outlines, soft toon shading, and light-reactive highlights without the need for technical setup or complex material node adjustments.

Instead of relying on common non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) techniques like solidify modifiers, inverted hulls, or Freestyle, this add-on uses shader-based outlines. This approach avoids extra geometry and modifiers resulting in faster viewport performance. The shader reacts dynamically to real scene lighting, meaning light direction, intensity, and movement directly affect shading, shadows, and edge transitions. Users can toggle outline, highlight, and an optional watercolor texture directly from the 3D viewport sidebar.
