SpeedTree Import Helper is an add-on designed to streamline the process of bringing SpeedTree assets into Blender. It reads .stmat files to automatically generate PBR material node setups for imported tree and plant models. The tool allows for the simultaneous batch importing of Alembic (ABC), FBX, and OBJ file formats.

When importing FBX files, the add-on automatically applies corrections to the model's scale and rotation. The generated materials are fully compatible with both Cycles and EEVEE rendering engines. For successful imports, all textures, model files, and .stmat files must be located within the same directory. Note that the older HDF5 Alembic format is not supported.
